Insilico Medicine this week announced its new multimodal transformer-based aging clock in Nature Aging. The new clock is reportedly capable of processing multiple datasets and providing insights into biomarkers for ageing by mapping them to genes relevant to both ageing and disease. The UK’s Huma secured FDA clearance for its disease agnostic Software as a Medical Device platform just 3 months after receiving EU MDR Class IIb certification - paving the way for transatlantic success. And, have scientists found a new target for Alzheimer’s disease?

4/ Upcoming events 📅
🇺🇸 On August 10-12 2023, Ending Age-Related Diseases returns to hold their sixth annual conference bringing together entrepreneurs and investors, pharma and biotech companies, researchers, and government organisations. Solving aging will need a coordinated industry working together to turn aging research into therapeutics. This is where Lifespan.io is really helping to move things forward and is the focus of our conference. This will be a mixed virtual and physical hybrid event taking place both in New York City and online.
🇮🇪 The Longevity Summit this year will include keynotes from luminaries including Irina Conboy, George Church, Vera Gorbunova, and Aubrey de Grey, the annual conference of LEV Foundation returns to Dublin, Ireland on 17 - 20 August 2023. This four-day event will focus on research developments in the longevity space that could increase human healthspan if brought to the clinic.
🇩🇰 The tenth Annual Ageing Research & Drug Discovery Meeting will feature James Kirkland, David Sinclair, Kirsten Fortney, Vadim Gladyshev, and Brian Kennedy along with a Longevity Medicine Workshop, which brings together front-line health care providers and ageing researchers to discuss clinical practices. Taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark on August 28 - September 1. This week-long event will be chaired by Morten Scheibye-Knudsen, Daniela Bakula, and Alex Zhavoronkov.
